The school celebrated the 73rd Independence Day with aplomb and fervour on August 15, 2019. The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag at 9 am. The occasion was graced by the Chief Guest, Prof. R. K. Shivpuri. The function opened with a snapshot from the life of Bhagat Singh enacted by the students of class VII. ‘Stand up for your Rights’, a reggae by Bob Marley reverberated the sentiments of the day. Students lifted their voices in unison in a Sufi rendition- Mujhe rang de Maula. The choir enthralled the stage with Vande Mataram. The Principal, Mrs Mahendri Devi exhorted the students and teachers to exercise their right to do what is noble and virtuous. She emphasized on the maxim ‘True independence is the opportunity to do what is right.’ Prof. Shivpuri urged the students to do their part with sincerity and honour their parents and teachers. He further encouraged the teachers to continue to do the good work that they have been doing and assured the parents his support and availability at all times.
